Cain Bonham is the intimidating, sexy, brooding Head of Security for the Wicked Horse. He also is a fantasy maker for the sex club, ex-Marine, and also dabbles as a cowboy and in construction. And is mmmmm...well built...Holy Hotness! He is a bada** with certain likes and preferences. He has a dark magnetism and a rep for leaving women extremely satisfied at least physically even if he is emotionally unavailable. He has varied tastes and lots of experience but he has also been hurt by a relationship so is not looking for one.

But there's a new woman hanging out at the Wicked Horse that keeps drawing his attention. Sloane is cute, sassy, confident, and seems fairly innocent. But she has her own reasons for being there and a hidden agenda. But there is something about Cain that gets her hot and bothered as well. She's somewhat naive, but also adventurous and willing to try new things. And she is finding herself conflicted over her initial reasons for coming to town and her growing attraction to Cain,

Their chemistry is sizzling and their sex is scorching hot. They find themselves unable to resist exploring each other and pushing boundaries together. The fact that he is the dirty-talking super sexy man and she is the more pure and innocent girl just adds to their attraction. It's fantasy, debauchery, and at times downright dirty. 

They both may be wicked and in serious lust, but they both have secrets...big ones. Hers especially could have serious ramifications not only for Cain, but for Woolf, Callie, and Bridger as well. And Cain is forced to reevaluate a promise. They are conflicted by duty vs. desire. And both are fearful of the want, need, and feelings that they cannot seem to stop. They seem to have met the right person at the wrong time and under the wrong circumstances. Neither even had a relationship on their radar and they cannot build something with the lies and secrets eating at them.

Can lust turn to love and in turn conquer all? Can lies be forgiven?

There are no easy answers or ways to proceed. They will both have to decide if they can get past betrayals and lies, and face whatever choices or sacrifices might be necessary.

This brings back Woolf and Callie, Bridger and also focuses on Rand and Logan. All are interesting and add both more sex appeal, support, and humor to the background. I am so anticipating Bridger's book, since he is so intense, mysterious, and intuitive. I loved him even more in this one. But it looks like another man might get his story told next and I am intrigued enough by that one as well.

This is definitely an erotic series and is full of kinky f***ery, but it is not enough to turn me off. I can actually see the setting of the Wicked Horse Saloon and The Silo sex club and cabins in my mind since they are described so vividly. I have just learned when I open a Wicked Horse book just to go with it and know that under the kink and play that there are intense, complicated characters with intriguing stories  that I will come to like and root for. This one was steamy, naughty, funny, intriguing, and even emotional at times. It's a true romance wrapped up in a dirty package.

It’s a sexy story, full of a variety of sex -- from vanilla to full on kink. The sex is often harder and kinkier than I expect when I think of Sawyer’s books, but as the setting revolves around a sex club, it makes sense. And the communication about preferences and kink adds to the connection developing between Cain and Sloane, so it works even better. Stories revolving around sex clubs aren’t usually my thing. But knowing the connection going into this story, and having already read Wicked Fall, I knew what to expect and I love the Wicked Horse crew: Bridger, Logan, Rand, Woolf, and Callie.

I love getting to know Cain through Sloane’s eyes. In Wicked Fall, Cain was portrayed as a closed off, intimidating man with his prominent facial scar. Sloane sees a completely different man and he begins to show a different side of himself, one he thought was gone.

But oh, the secrets. Each is holding secrets that could threaten the new relationship. I couldn’t help but turn the pages and wonder why they couldn’t come clean, why Sloane was facing such a dilemma, and why Cain would even think his plan would work.

And the fallout. In my head, the story was heading a different direction so I was shocked by the way things fell apart. But watching them sort through the hurt was a great character building exercise, not only for themselves but for some of the side characters as well.

This was a great story. Steamy, sexy, and hot, the plot was full of deception, wild fantasies, and unexpected moments of vulnerability. The epilogue sets up the next story, Wicked Need, nicely, especially as the characters involved appeared regularly in the background of Wicked Lust.
