All Noelle Cunningham has ever wanted is a life beyond–beyond the walls of Eden, where only the righteous are allowed to remain, and beyond her stiflingly restrictive existence as a councilman’s daughter. But only ruins lie outside the City, remnants of a society destroyed by solar storms decades earlier.

The sectors surrounding Eden house the corrupt, the criminal–men like Jasper McCray, bootlegger and cage fighter. Jas clawed his way up from nothing to stand at the right hand of Sector Four’s ruthless leader, and he’ll defend the O’Kane gang with his life. But no fight ever prepared him for the exiled City girl who falls at his feet.

Her innocence is undeniable, but so is their intense sexual attraction, and soon they’re crossing every boundary Noelle barely knew she had. But if she wants to belong to Jas, first she’ll have to open herself to the gang, to a dangerous world of sex, lust and violence. A world where passion is power, and freedom is found in submission.

"Fortification was a sin, a law, a meaningless concept in a place without either."

I have to say this book was HOT and it was very very DIRTY (in a fantastic freaking way) right from the beginning. The authors gave us a little D/s, ménages, hot tattoo scene, voyeurism, F/F, sex parties, and a few other erotic scenes. The only other dystopian book I have read has been The Hunger Games, which was all right, so I was a little nervous about if I would enjoy an erotic read in this type of setting.  In addition, this is my first book by team Kit Rocha, and these ladies brought it. I will be seeking out each one of this kick ass series!

Before I review the book, I must tell you that I will never ever look at getting a tattoo in the same light again. Holy sh*t, that was beyond hot. It was so freaking dirty. I am giving this book 5 stars for that scene alone, not that the rest of the book doesn't hold up to the 5 star rating cause it does, but this will be a scene I will return to many times. Jasper and Ace, swoon! I want to be the girl strapped down to their tat parlor chair receiving whatever attention they deem worthy of giving me because I made it through the pain like a big girl!

"Submissive. Inclined to submit. To obey, to yield. To give control and authority over herself to another."

When I read the synopsis for this book I thought it would be your typical D/s read. I was pleasantly surprised to find out it was not. It was more about the control that the women have in this lifestyle, this gang, Noelle's new way of life. It is about waking up and living, about taking what you want and feeling safe enough to be in control of your own personal being; saying no if you so choose to.

The men of sector 4 were hot, they were alpha, but they were also so sweet. Under their tough guy exterior they treasured their women and they encouraged them to take control and voice their needs. I loved that in this rough world, this life of a gang member you saw honesty, love, adoration, friendship, loyalty, and intense physical and emotional chemistry.

"I thought you were supposed to be scary, but you're sweet." "I'm both, darling."

Noelle was clueless from being sheltered all her life in the rich sector, but this worked for her character. After being banished for life from her family and sector due to drinking and fornication she ends up stumbling upon Jas in sector 4 where she finds her true self.  Life with the O'Kane gang is everything but boring. Noelle is subjected to eye opening experiences that make her feel shamed and dirty, the thing with that is she enjoys every single pleasure to the fullest. Jasper and Lex were her life lines. They both helped her grow in her self esteem, her relationships, and with the comfort of who she was becoming.

"Bound, helpless. Open to him."

Jasper was so damn HOT! I fell in love with this tatted bad boy cage fighter from his very first line. He didn't always think with his big head, but he tried to do the right things for Noelle. He was a giant softie when it came to his girl. He wanted Noelle to feel real things for him and their time together, not the shamed feelings she experienced from some of their dirty play. This bad boy fell fast and hard. Jasper was her hero; he gave her the means to live. He tried to open Noelle up to who she really was and get her to realize that her desires were not shameful, they were perfectly natural.

"When I mark you--" "I want more than your throat. I want the ink all the way across your shoulders."

I really adored Jasper and Noelle. The characters were very well developed and fit perfectly with each other. I also loved the O'Kane gang. They were secondary characters who played just as much of a role as the main characters did, especially Dallas and Lex. As I stated earlier this book was hot, and it was intense chemistry. Sometimes I felt the chemistry more between Lex and Noelle then I did Noelle and Jasper, but none the less it was there leaving you wanting more. I really look forward to the next book in this series. I could use a little more Lexi and bad ass Dallas, who by the way is just as tenderhearted as Jasper. I can't wait to see how much dirtier this group gets. Dallas isn't all about the sharing anymore, so I wonder if  he will make Lexi choose between him and Noelle, since she spends just as much time in Jasper & Noelle's bed as she does his.

I was provided with this book from the publisher for free via Net Galley in exchange for an honest review, thank you!
