What if everything you think you want isn't what you actually need...

Dr. Shelly Monroe is a woman who doesn't shy away from going after what she wants, but lately good sex has been hard to find. Shelly's become increasingly frustrated with the men she's been dating and the men she believes are the right choice.

Joshua Daniels is certainly not even close to the right choice. In fact he is exactly the wrong choice. For one thing, he's Mason Langley's best friend and best man. Second he's too much of a risky complication for Shelly to even consider.

Then why can't she stop thinking about how delicious he looked that first night she met him at Exquisite? Why is it so imperative to keep her lusty desire for a man that doesn’t meet her preconceived mold hidden from Lena and Mason, her trusted friends?

It seems unreasonable that being with a man completely wrong in theory could somehow feel so right. Then why is it the more she sees him the more enticing he becomes?

"You were never just a fling."
"Then what was I, Shelly Monroe."
"You were a game changer."

Wow, all I can say is Ella Frank is a freaking genius!  I absolutely adore her writing style. Fun and quirky with just enough drama to hold your attention. I was not sure if she could top Lena and Mason with their banter, angst, and
stubborn ass moments, but she did and she did it in a completely very different way.

Josh and Shelly, the only real word to describe them is STUBBORN! These two take stubborn to a whole new level. She ran and he chased. Shelly ran harder and Josh chased harder, until he just stopped. When he stopped, my heart stopped. All I could think was no way, do not let him go Shelly! I moved forward though, I knew Ella would not let me down. I put all my faith in her because she is known for her angst and second chances. No matter how big the mistake was. The mistake Shelly made was huge, I was not sure if she would be able to come back from it. Josh was a strong alpha male who had his pride too. Pride that Dr. Monroe walked all over on multiple occasions. Shame on you Shelly! To be honest girl I wanted to shake you and slap you around a bit.

Shelly was flirty, she was sassy and our girl went after what she wanted.  Josh "Delicious" Daniels happen to be a "bad boy" who she wanted from the start. Thinking to deny herself of his yumminess, Shelly fought the attraction. As did Josh, he was not looking for a high maintenance  man-eater. Well as you can imagine, this lasted for all of a few seconds before these two were going at each other in a club parking lot sealing their deal and their "fate" whether they knew it at the time or not.

"It's stripping you bare, and I'm falling for you so hard that I can feel the scrapes on my knees as I'm brought to them. I understand you're scared because I'm absolutely terrified, but I'm not going to hurt you or kick you when you're down."

Josh and Georgia were a mess through most of the book, but even with all the messy parts they had some really sweet moments. Not to mention the chemistry was off the charts between these two. I adored Josh. He was sweet and loyal. Strong in his convictions and he had a backbone. He too went after what he wanted, but he also knew when it was time to move forward. How does that saying go? If you love something, set it free. If it comes back, it's yours, if it doesn't, it never was yours....

Past and present relationships shaped them into the people they are when they come together. These cause major issues. Issues that are majorly impacted by their STUBBORNNESS. I wouldn't say there was a lack of communication, because they communicated their needs and feelings just fine. It was the fear of commitment, this fear came from one person and one person only, and it wasn't the person you expected it to be. Made me want to shake the living day lights out of her and yell what the hell are you thinking. Wake up and smell the coffee cupcake. That man of your dreams is standing right in front of you and if you keep being an idiot you will lose him for good.

I definitely recommend this read, and if you haven't read Mason and Lena yet what are you waiting for? Ella is a wonder at spinning worlds that suck you right in. You will not be disappointed, I promise!

Thank you to Ella Frank for the opportunity to join her book tour and experience Shelly and Josh for an honest review.

Man-Eater Monroe meets Delicious Daniels...And Oh how sweet it is!

I loved Shelly in Exquisite. She was Lena's Doctor friend who always said what came to her mind and had a witty remark for everything. I was so glad when I heard she would get her own story. And I think she totally met her match in Mason's friend Josh "Delicious" Daniels.

Josh...Oh My! He is so hot, sexy, and sweet! He is sarcastic, charismatic, patient, loving and the ultimate cross between a good guy with a little bad boy edge. He knows what he wants and he is not afraid to go for it.

"He was sex on legs and she wanted him to walk all over her."

Shelly...funny, feisty, sassy, sweet, and scared to death to let anyone get close enough to hurt her. Her past has changed her present outlook on relationships and she wants no part of a real relationship....

That woman is hotter than hell, but I'm not touching her. She'll burn me to a crisp."

Sparks fly at their first meeting when their friends try to set them up and it makes me giggle just to think about it.

"Well, maybe you should turn around because, as far as I can tell, Josh isn't fat or anywhere close to balding." Shelly heard Mason say from behind her.

So Barbie has a mouth on her, Big Surprise, Josh thought as he watched the blonde's back stiffening.

They both resist, do not think they have any business together, can't seem to get each other off their minds, and it was only a matter of time before their pulse pounding chemistry won out and something finally gave. And oh my my, Josh surely gave Shelly something to think about...wink wink...

Shelly wants the sex, but not really the man. Hmmm, how long do we think that is going to work out?

"The deal is this. No one knows about us. This is sex. Hot sex, but just sex. I want a nice, sweet everyday man to settle down with. And honestly, you scream complicated and not so sweet. So, the deal is you, me, and sex. No one knows..."

A road trip to her hometown of Georgia changes everything. They both had their own reasons for going, that were not exactly the same. But it allowed Josh to see the softer side of Man-Eater Monroe and he was drawn even more to this Georgia girl. And we get to see how some things in the past have affected Shelly.

"Here you're different. You're relaxed and casual, still incredibly sexy, but in a much more approachable way. This Shelly--Georgia Shelly--she's the girl next door wrapped up in subtle sex. Man-Eater Monroe 's the ball-busting doctor, who oozes blatant, sizzling, hot sex."

"Don't make me want to keep you."
Josh felt a hug grin spread across his face "Well then, don't make me want to be kept."
Then she asked, "Josh?...I'm breaking all my rules for you."

And just when you think we might be on the road to happiness, we hit another road block. Trust is not always easy and sometimes hard choices have to be made for self preservation. I have to say that I wanted to shake Shelly for a good portion of the remainder of the book. One thing that stands out in Ella's writing is that her characters do not do insta-love. There is usually insta-lust or insta-dislike, but she truly makes her characters' relationships develop at a much more realistic pace and timeline. They do not immediately fall in love and get engaged in a month like in so many other books, and I totally respect that(even while I am clutching my kindle wanting them to find happiness while time is ticking by!)

"You're not ready for me Georgia...and that's a real shame."

It was hard to see Shelly and Josh struggle because they were just so good together. Shelly was so stubborn and had so many trust issues, fears and insecurities. But I loved that Josh stood his ground and was not willing to accept any less than everything. Even if he was very stubborn too. It drove me crazy, but at the same time made me respect him and adore him. He was so strong, so patient, so loving, and such a good guy.

This man had snuck up and worked his way quickly and efficiently into her heart, like some kind of stealth operations mission. She hadn't even seen him coming, and now, he was seducing her mind right along with her very willing body.
He'd known from the beginning the depths of his feelings, and nothing was going to sway him from giving them both the time they needed. It it was meant to be, they would find their way back to each other.
If not? Well, if not, I'm screwed.

I loved spending more time with Mason(Oh, hot, sweet, sexy Mason) and Lena from Exquisite. They are an integral part of this story and it was wonderful to see how far they had come. I enjoyed it so much, I immediately started re-reading Exquisiteagain late that night and was immediately drawn back into their hilarious rocky beginning and had a hard time putting it down.

I cannot wait for Mason's sister Rachel's story in Edible. I already like her love interest who we meet in this book. I absolutely love this series! Each book is so funny, so sweet, so endearing, and just a joy to read. They make me crazy, make me laugh, make me tear up, and just make me happy. I cannot recommend them enough.

Ella Frank writes such engaging, fun books that make me laugh out loud and keep me turning pages and staying up way too late to finish. I love that we get alternating POVs and her character development is amazing. You cannot help but identify with her characters, alternately love them or be angry at them, and become totally immersed in their stories.
