The saying goes that there is a fine line between love and hate...but what happens when the line becomes blurred?

When life hands Phoebe Andrews her dream job, she’s ecstatic. That is, until she realizes that in order to pursue her dream she’ll have to give up her cosmopolitan lifestyle in Chicago and move to Nashville. As if leaving all she knows behind wasn’t enough, a car accident on her first day in town does nothing to convince the city girl that country living is all it’s cracked up to be.

As an only child, Dean Montgomery has obligations—obligations which have left him angry at the world. Just as his monotone life has begun to leave him jaded, he is brought back to earth with a bang...literally.

Fate conspires to bring the city girl and the country boy together, but can Dean stay out of trouble long enough for the pair to test the boundaries of their tempestuous relationship?

They say that fate rears its ugly head, but some people are just too blind to see it.

Sometimes the best things can come out of the worst accidents. Being in the right place at the wrong time changes Phoebe's life.

She is a young woman transplanting from Chicago to Nashville for her career. She is alone in a strange city and her only support is her mom back in Chicago. BAM! A car crash with a young rancher, Dean sets her life spinning in more ways than one.

Before she knows it she is taken in by his sweet parents and settled into their ranch so they can take care of her. What starts out as uncomfortable and scary, starts to turn into the best thing that could have happened to her. She finds support and acceptance from his parents that help fill the void in her life. In hr previous life, she was guarded and did not get close to men in order to have real relationships. She worked and took care of her needs and that was all she needed.

Now Dean and Phoebe. They are a mess! They start fighting the minute the accident happens and it keeps going for quite a while. The city girl and the country boy seem to be total opposites. They have such a strong physical reaction to each other that they channel it into verbal sparring and one-upping one another. They are feisty, funny, and just a little but flirty. But the more time they spend together, the more it becomes obvious that her enemy could be the sweetest part of the whole deal.

Things haven't been okay with us since the moment we met. We go from despising each other, to practically having sex.

They had good chemistry and definitely had sparks. But there is lots of miscommunication, insecurities, fear, drama, mistakes, and angst. I seriously wanted to smack Dean upside his head multiple times and wanted to shake her a time or two as well. And it was not a short and easy road to work out all of their issues, which at times I liked and at other times surprised me. After the first part of the book being divided up literally day by day, it felt like the ending was a bit rushed and we missed out or skimmed over on some important things for their relationship.

There's only one word that comes to mind when I think of all of the joy that one little accident brought me.
Serendipity.

But it was a fast, cute read with likable characters and celebrated the love of families whether made or adopted into. I liked seeing the growth in the characters and the fact that once event changed so many lives for the better. This is more of a NA/YA read and does not get very detailed into romantic scenes but they do show the chemistry between the characters. I liked getting both Phoebe's and Dean's points of view since it was really important in this story to see what they were thinking. Their inner thoughts were very different than their words and actions at times  and we really needed to see the repercussions of some things as well. I also liked the side characters and the ranch setting was fun.  I am looking forward to the next book featuring Josh and Hayden.

Thanks to Stacey Bentley for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
