Passion and Ponies (Chocoholics#2)
Add to Goodreads

Ava Gilmore has the perfect life. She’s surrounded by people who love her, she’s having sex on a regular basis and her Coach bag collection just grew by three. The problem? She’s expected to follow in her family’s footsteps at Seduction and Snacks, working with sex toys and baked goods.

Ava loves vibrators and cupcakes as much as the next person, she’d just rather play with them than sell them. With her shopping addiction reaching an all time high and her credit card bills piling up, Ava decides to put her obsession to good use and start a fashion blog. But she has one other problem - the guy she’s having sex with has a My Little Pony addiction.
While dealing with her family’s disappointment and confusion over her choices, she finds support in the unlikeliest of places – Tyler Branson. Tyler has slowly wormed his way into her bed, her a$$ and her heart and he refuses to leave. Tyler has his own family problems to deal with and for the first time ever, Ava finds herself feeling bad for the annoying, immature guy and chanting “Friendship is magic!” during the sex she’d swore to stop having with him.

Ava needs to get her life in order once and for all before she finds herself doing something she never wanted to do – fall in love with a Brony.

I know that when I pick up a Tara Sivec Chocolate Lovers or Chocoholics series book to expect the unexpected. I know it will be hilarious, off the wall, unique, use curse words in the most creative of ways, and surprise me. Now Bronies? My twelve year old daughter mentioned this phenomenom to me a few weeks ago and I just thought she might be exaggerating. Only Tara Sivec could bring us a book and incorporate bronies (I was thinking maybe she might be partaking of some of the guys' favorite special brownies before coming up with this one). But  I just checked out some google images and this YouTube video. Oh my! This is some crazy stuff. Now add Tara Sivec and her gang to this phenomenom and WOW!

We first saw Ava Gilmore(Charlotte's sister) and Tyler Branson(Gavin's best friend) hook up in Love and Lists despite their apparent aversion to each other. Ava is generally unhappy with life. She is working for family business Seduction and Snacks, but hates it. She loves fashion and blogging. She is prickly, closed off, and kind of mean. But she also does not always stand up for herself when it comes to her parents.

Tyler is a bit lost, immature, obnoxious, sex crazed and pony obsessed. Oh and he is also pretty hot and has a good heart. You just have to shake your head at some of the stuff that comes out of his mouth. But he sees the world in a unique way and is so sure of his beliefs.

Now these two really don't think they even like each other, but the enjoy their extra friendly activities and just can't seem to stop themselves.

My only prospect for love is a man who lights his farts on fire and has a membership to a porn-of-the-month club. I really need to get back into the dating world and forget about Tyler once and for all.

God, she is such a bitch. I don't know what it is about her, but I just can't stay away from her. She hates me and I kind of can't stand her, but holy fuck is the sex good with her.

Tyler is going through  some major life transitions and is trying to find his way in his changing world. And Ava wants to find where she fits in too so she can be happy. Somewhere along the way they begin to actually understand the other one. It is awkward, messy, confusing, and funny to see them try to navigate, get on the same page, and deal with all the stuff swirling around in their chaotic lives.

"You drive me crazy, but I have more fun fighting with you than I've ever had getting along with anyone else..."

This is another wild adventure through this crazy world of foul mouthed, antagonistic, overbearing, nosy, odd, intrusive, and sex oriented group of family and friends. They call each other names, frequently yell obscenities, and get into the craziest situations, but that is what makes it so much fun! The sex toys at Seduction and Snacks are almost characters themselves.

This story line was one of the quirkiest  and far out ones (but now doing research it is scarily truer to life than I even imagined). It had a big twist that just made me smile. Tyler grabbed my heart in the first book and I loved him even more in this one. He is so goofy, endearing, and sweet. And under her b**chy exterior, Ava is likeable too. And it was fun getting more with Charlotte and Gavin (Love and Lists ) and getting to know a little more about the mysterious younger sister Molly. And of course, the crazy first generation/parents Liz, Jim, Carter, Claire, Drew, and Jenny. And Tyler's family as about equally as free and freaky. So it was another wild ride with this bunch that totally overwhelmed me, should have offended me, but completely entertained me. At times my mouth hung open, I gasped, I snickered, I rolled my eyes, I laughed out loud, I wanted to kick characters in the balls or equivalent, smirked, smiled, and sighed at some sweet moments. If you do not find yourself smiling and laughing at these characters there is something wrong with you or you lack a sense of humor. I may have dreams about glitter and sparkles and friendship songs after this, but I will not regret reading Tyler and Ava's story. Bring on the little ninja Molly. She has got to have one heckuva story coming!

Our 4.5 star reviews

Love and Lists is the first book in the Chocolate Lovers spinoff - Chocoholics: The foul-mouthed offspring tell their stories.

Twenty-five-year-old Gavin Ellis has always had the love and support of his family ever since he was a little boy and couldn't stop talking about his penis. He's also always had their unsolicited advice and uncanny knack of embarrassing him at all costs. Now that he's an adult and trying to convince the love of his life to love him back, things haven't changed very much from when he was younger.

When Gavin's best friend Tyler suggests he make a to-do list of items that will ensure he wins the girl, Gavin is one-hundred-percent on board: after a few six packs.

After puking in the shrubs, a bad experience with Viagra, a Sex-Ed course gone wrong, and a slew of other mishaps courtesy of his family and friends, Gavin is pretty sure this list will be the death of him.

Sometimes, trying to make someone love you with a list isn't always the best idea. Especially when "Show her your penis" is the first "to-do" item...

The Chocoholics series is a Spin off of the Chocolate Lovers series
