There are two kinds of people in the world. The ones who look first, and the ones who leap. I’ve always been more of a looker. Cautious. A planner. That changed after I met Drew Evans. He was so persistent. So sure of himself – and of me.

But not all love stories end happily ever after. Did you think Drew and I were going to ride off into the sunset? Join the club. Now I have to make a choice, the most important of my life. Drew already made his –in fact, he tried to decide for the both of us. But you know that’s just not my style. So I came back to Greenville. Alone. Well, sort of alone....

What I've come to realize is that old habits die hard and sometimes you have to go back to where you began, before you can move ahead.

TWISTED picks up two years after Tangled’s end, and is told from Kate’s POV.

Now we have had Drew's hilarious unfiltered point of view and private conversations with the readers in Tangled. We saw sassy, strong Kate conquer the cocky, controlling, playboy. Now it is two years into their relationship and Kate is speaking to us. And Kate now has lots to say and it is not always pretty.

Things were going pretty well for the dynamic duo personally and professionally. They were living together, in love, and enjoying their sex charged, romantic relationship. But...

Drew has always been impulsive and hot headed. It was only a matter of time before he screwed up big time. And one thing leads to another. Miscommunication and misconceptions, lead to big mistakes, hurt feelings and catastrophic repercussions. And now they are apart for the first time in two years. So this is bad...really bad...

Now I love Drew Evans in all his hot, sexy bossy, dirty talking glory. But I really wanted to throttle him at times. And I love feisty Kate too. But poor, misunderstood, confused Kate shut down and ran and made me want to shake her too.

It hurt my heart, stressed me out, made me long to lock them away together and force them to talk(and actually listen to each other which is easier said than done). But they are both so frigging stubborn and impulsive. They react first and ask questions later.

And it finally gets to a point where it all is finally exposed and has to go one way or the other. It was either going to get fixed or totally shatter beyond help. It was messy, raw, and painful. And just when I would think it was going one way then things would twist again. So this book definitely lived up to its title. But with Drew and Kate things are always a bit complicated and definitely intense so it really fit with their personalities.

The wild cast of side characters were back and involved in the whole bloody mess. Sometimes being supportive and sometimes causing more issues. But usually providing even more comic relief.

This was definitely a tangled, twisted mess of events full of angst and drama. But I had to have faith that my crazy functionally dysfunctional couple would see the light and the error in their ways. This one had humor, tension,  heart break, sexy times, sweetness, and of course, a bunch of cuss words.  But it also had a different tone and was a bit darker and emotional than the first one. This series is just so unique and original. The characters are so outspoken, over the top, and unfiltered. Their relationships and friendships are strong and connections run deep. But they are also filled with fiery personalities, challenges, and taunting behaviors. There were moments of pain and frustration, but also ones that made me smile, laugh, swoon, and sigh (Oh and some were just sizzling hot). So this book has a little bit of everything all mixed up together with almost a frantic, frenzied vibe to see how bad it was all going to get and if it was going to get back on track. It really did stress me out while also making me laugh. The epilogue was a great surprise and I got a big smile on my face. I love Drew-isms. It cracks me up to see how he sees the world and how the responds to it. I just can't help but love the guy even when he's being an ass.

This one sets us up for Kate and Drew's next book Tied (book 4) that will occur two years after the end of this one. But the next  book 3 will be Tamed that will take us back in time to see the full courtship of their friends Matthew and DeeDee.

Drew Evans is a winner. Handsome and arrogant, he makes multimillion dollar business deals and seduces New York’s most beautiful women with just a smile. He has loyal friends and an indulgent family. So why has he been shuttered in his apartment for seven days, miserable and depressed?

He’ll tell you he has the flu.
But we all know that’s not really true.
Katherine Brooks is brilliant, beautiful and ambitious. She refuses to let anything - or anyone - derail her path to success. When Kate is hired as the new associate at Drew’s father’s investment banking firm, every aspect of the dashing playboy’s life is thrown into a tailspin. The professional competition she brings is unnerving, his attraction to her is distracting, his failure to entice her into his bed is exasperating.
Then, just when Drew is on the cusp of having everything he wants, his overblown confidence threatens to ruin it all. Will he be able untangle his feelings of lust and tenderness, frustration and fulfillment? Will he rise to the most important challenge of his life?
Can Drew Evans win at love?
Tangled is not your mother’s romance novel. It is an outrageous, passionate, witty narrative about a man who knows a lot about women…just not as much as he thinks he knows. As he tells his story, Drew learns the one thing he never wanted in life, is the only thing he can’t live without.

Marriage: the final frontier. Steven went first. He was kind of our test subject. Like those monkeys that NASA sent off into space in the fifties, all the while knowing they’d never make it back.
And now another poor rocket is ready to launch.
But this isn’t just any posh New York wedding. You’ve seen my friends, you’ve met our families, you know you're in for a treat. Everyone wants their wedding to be memorable. This one’s going to be un-frigging-forgettable.
Holy Frigging Matrimony takes place about a year after Tangled’s end and is from Drew’s POV.

Stop me if you’ve heard this one before: girl meets player, they fall in love, player changes his ways.
It’s a good story. But it’s not our story. Ours is a lot more colorful.
When I met Dee I knew right away that she was special. When she met me, she thought I was anything but special--I was exactly like every other guy who’d screwed her over and let her down. It took some time to convince her otherwise, but turns out I can make a convincing argument when sex is at stake.
You might know where this story’s headed. But the best part isn't where we ended up.
It’s how we got there.
TAMED goes back in time to the Tangled days. But this time around, it’s not Drew dishing out the advice and opinions – it’s his best friend Matthew, who of course is dealing with Dee Dee.
