Brodie Steele is a badass MC dude. Ashe Kingston is a sexy police officer with an attitude. Their bad blood runs deep. But after they hook up at a wild biker week, can they keep their pact? What happens at Bike Week stays at Bike Week. Yeah, right.

Riding out the rough years following a family tragedy, Brodie is still trying to put his life back together when he finds something he never expected with Ashe. She annoys the ever lovin’ hell out of him, and turns him on so much he can’t see straight. He keeps coming back for more.

Ashe isn’t just a hard-nosed police officer. And she wants no part of Brodie outside of their no-strings-attached fling. There’s no way he’s settling-down material but he’s hard to resist with his inked sleeves and rebellious ways, not to mention piercings in places that make Ashe melt. Brodie Steele is dangerous, delicious, and suddenly determined to have her.

If there’s anything more risky than laying his heart on the line for this sexy woman, it’s Ashe’s job. It puts her life in danger in a way he can’t possibly protect her from. Can their hot bond win out over the bad blood of years past? Or will Ashe be taken from Brodie before she lets him into her heart?

I tossed my phone through the open window of my Chevy, opened the door, and stowed Ashe inside.

Before I shut her in, I leaned over to brush my mouth against hers, plunging my tongue to swirl inside her wet heat.

When I got in the driver’s side she turned to me. “We’re getting the seats wet.”

“You can take off your dress right now if you want.” I grinned in what had to be an absolutely unwholesome way.

She sat back with a shaky laugh. Ashe was flustered. She was almost never flustered. I really liked it.

I put the truck in gear and we roared out of the parking lot. I probably left tire marks on the tar. Windows down for the fresh air but A/C on because it was still blazing hot outside, Ashe and I sped along Isle of Palms toward Sullivan’s Island wrapped in a bubble of sexual tension so tight it was close to bursting.

Not a single word was said because the next thing to come out of my mouth would be, “Clothes, off, now.”

My legs were so tense they nearly shook. I held the steering wheel with a white knuckled grip. I usually drove the way any good country boy did, with one wrist used to steer. Not tonight. Not when Ashe fidgeted next to me, plucking at the top of her dress. It quickly suctioned back to her breasts. Not helping, but oh so sexy. Pornographic sexy.

It was fully dark fifteen minutes later when I pulled into my driveway. I helped Ashe out, grabbed her bags, took her hand, and ushered her to the big front porch.

“This is your house? And I thought you said mine was fancy. You’ve got a river view from here, Brodie.”

Gas lanterns on either side of the cheery red door blazed, the sweltering night absent of any breeze the porch swing sat still. Tremendous hanging baskets flowered like crazy.

“Parents’ house. Well, it was. Let’s not talk about that now.” After I set her bags down, I fingered the hem of her dress, lifting it up her thighs. “Take it off.”

“Brodie, no. We’re standing on your porch,” Ashe protested.

“I’ll cut off the lights.”

“Public indecency.”

“Arrest me already.”

I shut the lights off, and heard the wet slap of her dress on the porch floor. I dropped my suit—what was left of it—where I stood. There was a whisper of something light floating to the floor—her bra and panties. My belt buckle made a clanging noise. Ashe’s breath hitched as my eyes adjusted to the darkness.

Curves, glorious curves, illuminated by moonlight. I touched a puckered nipple then circled it with my thumb. With my other hand, I gave a long slow stroke up my swollen cock.

When she whimpered, I moved fast. I pushed her against the door face first, caging her with my body from behind.

“Oh my God,” she moaned.

I sent my lips over her shoulder and up to her ear. “Oh my God, Brodie. Say it.”

“I . . . I can’t!”

“Wrong words.” I stepped back to drag my pulsing cock up and down her ass. “Know where I am right now?”

“Oh my God, Brodie!” Her voice quivered.

I caught her earlobe between my teeth and let it go. Holding her hips against me, I ran my dick up and down her cleft several times, loving the curves of her ass nice and snug around me. “Better. Now, open the door so we can go inside. Unless you want us to get arrested.”
What happens at Bike Week, stays at Bike Week? Yeah, right.

At least that is what Presidents of Retribution VP, Brodie Steele and Police Officer, Ashe Kingston are planning on, They've hated each other for years due to some past issues, but have also skirted an unwanted attraction.

And they just can't resist it once they find themselves together in the perfect atmosphere that just magnifies their attraction. Their banter is both angry, teasing, and flirty. They get under each other's skin. Their chemistry is combustible and raw.

In the space of three hours, I'd gone from wanting to kill her to needing to f*** her fast and hard, preferably all night long.

"So the rumors are true...You talk like a Barbarian and F*** like a rock star."

They have one perfectly torrid week of cycles, sex, and time alone away from obligations. But back in the real world, their lives don't always mesh. They have responsibilities and some conflicts. Ashe especially thinks they need to keep their distance and keeps pushing Brodie away. She thinks  No Strings Attached hook ups between them are all she is willing to give. But he is realizing he wants more than that. But she has her reasons and trust issues and keeps stringing him a long never really giving him a fighting chance to prove himself.

...it felt like my entire f****** philosophy about f****** had been turned upside down and inside out, I didn't want fast. I didn't want anonymous. I didn't want a crowd of babes in my bed.  And I didn't want easy. At least that much was self-evident since I still had the mega-hots for the least easy, most complicated woman I'd ever met.

But this bad boy is not giving up. And Ashe may be tough, but she's also a woman with heart. They deal with daily life, investigations, club business, and danger. Nothing is easy or calm in the life of an officer and a biker. But along the way there are lots of sexy times mixed in with some bonding situations. They have hot chemistry, but also a connection that cannot be denied.

Somewhere around this time I fell for Brodie Steele. He was so much more than he appeared in previous books are early in this one. In the beginning, he was pretty rough, raw, and blunt. But the more we got to know him and got to see his big heart and capacity for love, the more appealing he became. He was a smart, sexy business man and a biker. He was a bossy, direct, and protective.  He loved hard and would do anything to help others.

Ashe had a lot of reservations, fears and secrets. Her career was challenging and dangerous. She had a lot to handle, but was also strong and independent. But Brodie was insistent upon tearing her walls down and he was hard to resist.

I really came to like them together.  There was a lot going with her job and in his club adding more drama and suspense to their story. It was hard watching them go through some of the challenges and tense situations. I got more and more invested as their story went on and the stakes became higher.

This one was steamy, funny, tense, dramatic, suspenseful, and at times even sweet and emotional. But it still had the quirky humor and straightforward  unfiltered male point of view like in the other books. Brodie definitely had his own voice and he was multi-faceted. But he was a true good guy with some delicious bad boy tendencies and sex appeal.

All of the couples from the previous books were back--Josh and LeeLee and Cat and Nick. We got a peek at Brodie's brother Boomer and new blue haired hottie mechanic, Rayce who will be the subject of the next book Chrome, Forged in a Heart of Steele. And met some MC guys from the spin of Retribution MC spin off series. Hunter and Coletrane were stand outs.

I was gifted a copy in exchange for an honest review.

Brodie Steele run the family garage, Chrome and Steele, with his siblings and leads the Retribution MC as VP next to his brother. The family has long remained on the right side of the law, but with enough run-ins that there is some hostility, especially between the Steele brothers and Ashe Kingston, the officer who arrested their sister on the night of their parents’ car accident.

Lusting after the hot cop is enough, but when Brodie discovers she rides as well, the attraction ramps up. The promise of a week-long fling during Bike Week only adds fuel to the fire and he isn’t sure he can let go when the week is over. And as it turns out, she isn’t quite ready to let go either.

I loved Ashe, and loved Brodie.

Ashe had her head on her shoulders and knew what she wanted. She wasn’t a shrinking violet and could fight her own battles. That being said, I loved watching her let Brodie into her life, even as she did it hesitantly and with the thought of keeping things non-committal.

Brodie also knew what he wanted, and as soon as he saw her for her, he wanted Ashe. His determination to work his way into her life was as sweet as it was difficult. I loved how he fought his urge to protect her at all times, especially when she had to stand up for herself or was acting in an official capacity.

While I loved them as individuals and as a couple, I found myself skimming the sex scenes, preferring the storyline and emotions to the physical side of their relationship. I’m not really sure what it was, because it wasn’t anything specific I could put my finger on that caused me to skim.

This book had great twists and a great blend between cops and MC members. I loved the way their history played into the relationship and how Brodie’s family quickly saw what Ashe meant to him and accepted her with little hesitation. There was a great twist early in the story that I didn’t see coming, but I loved what it said for Brodie as a man, and for the possibility of a future between them. The last third of the book felt more like a suspense novel which added a good deal of interest I hadn’t anticipated from the storyline.

Our 4 star Reviews

Hell on wheels meets hell in high heels.

Bad boy mechanic Josh Stone likes to get his hands dirty any way he can—the filthier, the better. Ever since his wife walked out on him and their young son, he’s only had room in his heart for two loves: the kid and cars.
Roped into playing his best buddy’s gay boyfriend during a romance writers convention, the player meets the girl who’s gonna rock his world. Leelee Songchild. Shy, bashful, beautiful Leelee who blushes at the drop of a hat yet writes hardcore smut to rival Josh’s backlist of Penthouse Forum.
The only problem is his hands are tied. Josh can’t stab his old friend/fake lover in the back even though all he wants to do is take luscious Leelee to bed, and maybe, love her. When the truth comes out, all hell breaks loose.
Too bad romance is just for books.
