TRUST – verb: to believe in the reliability, truth, or strength of another.

Up until now, Logan Mitchell has never had much of a reason to trust anyone.
Having struggled with a self-identity crisis throughout college, he’s spent the years since then creating a sophisticated facade to present to the world.
It’s an armor he thought was impenetrable—until he met Tate Morrison.

The gorgeous, headstrong bartender he’d sat across from only months ago has taken a tight hold of his heart, and Logan is discovering that it’s time to let go.
It’s time to let someone inside.

After years of placing his dreams on hold for his family, Tate has finally chosen to do what makes him happy and follow his heart.
The one thing he never would’ve imagined was that it would lead him into the arms of a man—and not just any man—the striking, never-takes-no-for-an-answer Logan Mitchell.
Tate has fallen hard, and as his world is turned on its axis and they move forward together, he finds his life becoming more entwined with the confident, successful lawyer.

Even though neither man expected the other, it’s time to trust in their relationship—but not everything comes so easily…

“What’s wrong with my hair? Are you saying I need to cut it?”
“No, I’m fucking not,” Logan said as he fingered the curls by Tate’s ear. “And you know it.”
“What would you do if I did shave my head?”
“Kill you? And likely get away with it since I have connections to a very reputable law firm.”
Tate chuckled and shoved Logan until he was on his back beside him. “Be serious.”
Logan turned his head on the pillow and ran his eyes over Tate’s full head of hair. Then he returned his gaze to the eyes watching him. “I would quite possibly cry. For days.”
“Over my hair? It does grow back, you know.”
“Yeah, but not for months,” he grumbled. “Can you please stop talking so calmly about this? You’re making me nervous.”
Tate shifted until his long, lean body was stretched out above him, and Logan widened his legs to allow him to settle in between.
“Don’t worry,” Tate assured him as he lowered his head to kiss the corner of his mouth. He then moved those teasing lips to Logan’s ear and whispered, “I like your hands in it too much to cut it off.”
Logan threaded his fingers through the thick waves and asked, “Like this?”
With a groan, Tate rocked his hips against him, and Logan twisted his fingers tighter.
Exactly like that.”
“Good,” he said as he wound his legs around Tate’s. “Because this way, I can have a tight hold on you when you’re trying to distract me. I’m onto you, Mr. Morrison. Don’t try to use your body against me.”
He almost lost his willpower when Tate, the cocky fucker, placed his hands on either side of his head and rubbed their erections together.
“You don’t want me to use my body on you?”
“Fuck you,” Logan said, knowing full well that, if he didn’t change the subject or get Tate the hell off him, he was going to roll him over and cease talking altogether.
Usually he’d love nothing more, but right now, he wanted to know why Tate had reacted so strongly to his question from last night—well, early morning .
“We need to talk.”
Logan Mitchell and Tate Morrison.... Oh my...I have loved these guys throughout this series and this is their third book. And in this one, she brings it all home. We've seen them in their initial stages where they both had reasons to fight their feelings but decided to try. We saw them decide to take a chance on each other and to move forward. And now we see them get to even more of the good stuff as they have been developing trust that continues to grow. This is Tate and Logan digging in, making a commitment, and facing some issues that they need to face.

I absolutely love these guys together! Adore them!  I enjoy their witty rapport and flirty innuendo. They have such scorching hot chemistry that just burns up the pages. They have this fierce need to be together. And we have seen so much growth from both of these men. It was heartwarming to see how far these two guys have come in terms of admitting their feelings, communication, and commitment. Both of them are quite swoon worthy, charismatic, and sexy-as- hell in their own distinct ways.

In the beginning, Logan was always so cocky, bossy, controlling. untrusting, and fearful of feelings. He
was afraid of being in a real relationship, but Tate totally turned his world around. Now Logan is completely invested and in love with this man and he's finally not afraid to show it to the outside world. He still has his unfiltered mouth and likes to get his way, but he is so much more open and vulnerable and sometimes downright needy. He is totally possessive over Tate and has realized how much he needs their connection and commitment.

His motto of "try, take, and top" had changed. Oh, he'd tried Tate all right, and they'd both done a helluva lot of taking, but for once in his life, Logan didn't feel the desire to win. He didn't need to come out on top. What he wanted as Tate's trust--his absolute trust. (Logan)

Tate always seemed like the gentler, softer, more vulnerable one since this type of relationship was a complete change for him.  Tate never even had a relationship with a male on his radar
, but Logan was able to win him over and he has now found the strongest relationship he's ever had. But now he is just as bossy, protective, strong, stubborn, and dirty talking as Logan is.  He had a lot of fears to conquer and his relationships with others were affected due to his choices. But he continues to come into his own as he figures out all that he wants out of life.

He knew that with as far as they'd come in such a short amount of time, given these extra steps, these gestures of trust they were extending to one another and the connection they shared was just going to get stronger--and he wanted that more than he'd ever imagined possible. (Tate)

They really play off each other so well. They both have a sense of humor, witty rapport, and like power plays. It is a give-and-take for them in all facets of their life and neither always wins (or maybe they both win). They have a deep connection, passion, and an unquenchable need for each other. They are seriously one of the most in-tune couples that I have read about, For all of their initial diversity, they just fit and complement each other so well.  It has been a process for them as they tried something new, took a chance, and learned to trust.

"You make me so f****** happy. I had no idea I never was before." (Logan)

"I had no idea when you first sat down across from me that night--no idea what I'd been missing...It was you." (Tate)

Tate has overcome many of his fears that previously held him back.
But he also doesn't want to be a kept man and he still has his own needs and goals that he wants to see happen. And Logan is just happy to get to be with Tate. He finally has someone that he can trust with his heart and that won't turn it back on him. But with that being said, they still have some challenges to get through and some situations to face. They don't live in a bubble so there are outside influences to deal with. And sometimes things happen in life that are unforeseen or unplanned.

There were moments in this Book that  I swear I held my breath and my heart hurt. But it's these difficult moments and challenges that truly show how far that these guys have come together and what they are made of. I felt everything they did and was completely emotionally invested in their journey.

This installment was humorous, steamy, tense, passionate, heartbreaking, and emotional. It was told in both Tate and Logan's points of view and I loved getting into both of their heads. I have been totally enthralled with the series and I'm so glad I took a chance on Try when it was the first M/M book that I ever read. But Ella Frank has a way of pulling you into a story and making you love her complex characters. All of her books in this series have such humor, passion, and heart. And I love how the series has little cameos that cross over from the Exquisite series: Logan's brother Cole, his wife Rachel, Mason, Lena, Shelly, and Josh. I loved the dynamics between all of the friends that pull them all into a family-like bond. I feel like I've been on quite a journey with Tate and Logan and have seen such change and growth in both of them personally and as a couple. I highly recommend this series even if you have never read M/M romances before, and and I will really miss these guys.

Our 4.5/5 star review

TRY – verb: to make an attempt or effort to do something or in this case…someone.

Sex. Logan Mitchell loves it, and ever since he realized his raw sexual appeal at a young age, he has had no problem using it to his advantage. Men and women alike fall into his bed—after all, Logan is not one to discriminate. He lives by one motto—if something interests you, why not just take a chance and try?
And he wants to try Tate Morrison.
Just coming out of a four-year marriage with an ex-wife from hell, a relationship is the last thing on Tate’s mind. He’s starting fresh and trying to get back on his feet with a new job at an upscale bar in downtown Chicago.

The only problem is, Tate has caught the unwavering and unwelcome attention of Mr. Logan Mitchell – a regular at the bar and a man who always gets what he wants.
Night after night Tate fends off the persistent advances of the undeniably charismatic man, but after an explosive moment in the bar, all bets are off as he finds his body stirring with a different desire than his mind.
As arrogance, stubbornness and sexual tension sizzles between the two, it threatens to change the very course of their lives.

Logan doesn’t do relationships. Tate doesn’t do men. But what would happen if they both just gave in and…tried?

TAKE (Temptation #2)
Add to Goodreads

TAKE – verb: to reach for and hold in one’s hands or get into one’s possession, power or control.

Logan Mitchell is a man who’s always been more than happy to take what he wants. It’s a philosophy that’s proven lucrative in both his business and personal life, and never was it more apparent than the night he laid eyes on Tate Morrison. After pulling out all the stops and convincing the sexy bartender to give him a try—he’s hooked.

Now, Logan finds himself in a predicament that demands more from him than a smart-ass answer and his innate ability to walk away when things get too deep.

He has a choice to make, and it’ll force him to do something he’s never done before—take a chance.

Tate Morrison knows all about taking a chance. He took the biggest one of his life the night he showed up at Logan’s apartment to explore his unexpected reaction to the man.

Ever since then, he’s thought about little else.

At first he was convinced his attraction was based solely on his body’s curiosity. But the more time he spends with the silver-tongued lawyer, the more Tate realizes that their physical chemistry is only the beginning.

He’s starting to catch a glimpse of what life with Logan would be like, and it’s one full of excitement and satisfaction—a far cry from what he had in the past with his soon to be ex-wife.

Each man will face their fears as they begin to understand the true meaning of give and take. Their feelings for one another will be tested, as will their very beliefs. But now that they’ve found love where they least expected it, will they be brave enough to reach out and take it?
