A small town, close proximity romance from New York Times and Wall Street Journal bestselling author Kristen Proby.

Remi Carter has survived her fifteen minutes of fame and is putting LA in her rearview mirror. As a former reality show contestant, she's trading staged expeditions and faked wilderness tours for real adventures. Only one fluke storm in Glacier National Park has her stranded with a handsome man, and adventure takes on a whole new meaning.
Seth King is as rugged and sexy as he is annoyed to be trapped with Remi. Probably because she ghosted him at the local bar not three days ago. But she's got her reasons for ditching him, and twenty-four hours in an abandoned Montana cabin with the wildlife biologist isn't nearly enough time to explain. As tempting as he is by firelight, she's been burned too many times.

Except one day together and suddenly her travel van doesn't hold as much appeal. The open road feels lonely. Remi's about to learn that shelter is more than a safe place to weather a storm.

Shelter might just be the man himself. If he can give her a reason to stay.

Seth King is devoted to his family and their ranch and thrives on being a Ranger at the nearby national park. He is charming, handsome, and loyal, but he has been through some things that marked him. He does not think he is interested in real relationships or kids of his own...he has plenty of siblings and nieces and nephews to fawn over.

Remi has been used to cameras following her while she does adventurous things and made a career out of it. She is smart, sassy, bold, and a bit of an overthinker. But now she has left Cali, taken off in a travel van, and is adventuring all over the country alone. She has no set schedules or plans. As she rolls into Cunningham Falls, Montana she just planned to pass through. But after being saved by the sexy Ranger and falling a bit in love with the town she decides she might stick around a little longer at least.

This is a low angst, sweet, sexy, just-passing-through-but-tempted-by-the-hot-rancher romance. It was not exactly what I was expecting because I anticipated it might dwell more on the survival in the storm aspect, but it was more about emotional storms.  They did have some emotional baggage from their pasts that impacted them and fears and insecurities. For two people that have experienced what it is to not be loved or cared for, the idea of home, true love, and family can sometimes be a bit overwhelming.

I was glad to see Seth finally get his story as he has been around in these books since he was a young teen. He was such a damaged boy when we met him, but was saved by the love of family. Their bond and love for one another just shine through the pages. The Kings and their friends in Cunningham Falls are the heart of these stories and I always enjoy visiting with them.
Seth King has called his family’s Montana ranch home since he was a boy, growing to love the land and the outdoors as if he had been there all his life. Working for the Park Rangers gives him something to do off the ranch, but also leaves enough time to be near when his family needs help. When he meets a traveler passing through who mentions hiking a challenging trail with weather approaching, Seth decides to make sure she has a safe place to wait out the storm.

Remi Carter is taking a break from her celebrity spotlight. Traveling in a camper van to explore new locations is a new kind of adventure that has her making plans and tackling bucket list items. She thinks nothing of the storm warning as she plans a hike she feels like she has to do, even though she has heard from locals that the weather can come in quickly.

Stuck in a remote cabin overnight gives the perfect opportunity to have a fling on this leg of Remi’s journey. But when they are able to make their way back down the trail after the storm has passed, Remi finds the allure of her travel plans and van have lost a bit of their luster. She is falling in love with this town and Seth.

This was exactly what I hoped for in a Big Sky book. It was a quick, smooth read with so much heart and heat. They might start with no promises of a future, but Remi finds a routine in Montana that she had never had in California, friends and family that make her one of their own without thought. I love the warmth and ease of the stories and know that every time I return to this world I’m in for a great story. This was a low-angst and completely entertaining story. I enjoyed seeing the rest of the King family and returning to Cunningham Falls overall.

From New York Times Bestselling Author Kristen Proby comes an all-new series of hot men in uniform in her beloved Big Sky Series! HEROES OF BIG SKY!

Nick loves his post as the princess’s security detail. Unfortunately, the bullet that ripped through his shoulder put a stop to pretty much everything in his life for a while, and his bosses have plans for him that don’t include sitting at headquarters with the other guards, drinking beer in his off-hours. They’ve assigned him a medical professional and banished him to the lake house for rehab. Which wouldn’t be so bad, but his new babysitter isn’t at all what he expected. She’s sin and temptation wrapped in the perfect package and infuriates him like no other.

Coming back home to Montana sounded like a dream to Jordan, and her new job is something she could do in her sleep. But then she meets her charge. Nick is stubborn, frustrating, and way too sexy. As a professional, she knows she should keep her distance, but he’s much too irresistible. And maybe it’s the magic of the holiday season, but he grows on her way faster than she ever thought possible.

When forced to imagine what life might be like without the other, Nick and Jordan quickly realize all they need is each other. Because it’s undeniable that they have it all—friendship, trust, loyalty, love. And yes, honor. The rest will fall into place.
