From USA Today bestselling author Rebecca Yarros comes a small town, single parent romance.

Nine years ago, Weston Madigan saved me. I came to Colorado penniless, heartbroken, and pregnant, searching for a fresh start. Weston gave me a job at his family’s resort, then left the next day and never returned, not even to visit.

Then I stumble in on Weston cooking breakfast shirtless—gloriously, inappropriately shirtless—in the shared kitchen of my duplex in employee housing. Given the shock on both our faces, he wasn’t expecting a roommate either, let alone two.

The growly pilot is only home to start his family’s new heli-skiing operation. I can handle being his temporary roommate, right? Chemistry and attraction aren’t impossible to ignore when you agree on ground rules. Besides, even with those gorgeous, brooding brown eyes, the guy is a walking thundercloud…until my daughter, Sutton, makes him laugh and he smiles at me. Then everything changes. Cue inconvenient heart flip.

This is only temporary.
I can’t fall for Weston.
I. Will. Not. Fall. For. Weston.
But rules go out the window when you’re a little too close.

Weston Madigan was sure he was never going to set foot on Madigan Mountain again, but he is a sucker for it when someone says they NEED him. His estranged older brother has taken over their family ski resort and needs him to return and run a heli-skiing operation. He is still haunted by grief from the loss of his mother and issues from the past that has left their family in shambles. He is broody, intense, private, and a perfectionist. He is closed-off and avoids attachments.

Callie Thorne is a single mom who has lived on the mountain for over a decade. She is surprised to find out she will now be sharing a duplex with one of the long-lost Madigan brothers, especially the one that took care of her and gave her a job when she needed it most and then disappeared. She is a devoted, protective, outspoken, mom and photographer.

They are determined to make the roommate situation work due to the circumstances. They even set rules.  But Weston starts to realize what it means to have people to care about and to enjoy spending time with. And Callie begins to see how it could be to have a partner helping her and being protective of her daughter. And the sexual tension and chemistry are not going away. So they try to convince themselves that they can work through their urges and not mess anything up. Rules are meant to be broken. But they may be getting a bit too close.

Callie is falling hard for a man who swears he will never give his heart away or be hurt by loss again. But by doing so will he only be hurting them all in the long run?

This is a sweet, sexy, emotional, forced-proximity, single mom, coming home. small-town love story about finding hope, fighting for a future, and following dreams. There is a stubborn, damaged, bitter man in need of hope, healing, and letting go of past pain. There is a woman that has always had to sacrifice her own dreams in order to be a self-sufficient parent. There is an adorable tween who wraps them around her finger. They are thrown into difficult situations and forced to make decisions that affect them all.

This brings back his brother, Reed, his love, Ava, their friends, and the Madigan patriarch we met in the first book. And it paves the way for the third book with the reckless youngest brother, Crew. I am looking forward to the conclusion of this trilogy in A Little Too Wild.
Weston Madigan waited to leave Madigan Mountain and the town of Penny Ridge until his younger brother graduated high school, but as soon as he could he joined the military and didn’t look back. Until 10 years later, his older brother asked for his help setting up a heli-skiing operation on the mountain. Taking a huge risk and with the help and support of his two best friends, Weston returns to Madigan Mountain to fly skiers into otherwise unreachable parts of the mountains.

Calliope (Callie) is a single mom who has been working at the mountain since before her daughter was born as the mountain’s photographer. She once dreamed of traveling the globe taking award winning photographs, but mostly spends her days capturing the smiles of families visiting the mountain.

When Weston arrives on the mountain, the only employee residence left is the other half of Callie’s apartment. Since Weston refuses to set foot in his childhood home, they create a list of house rules to ensure that they can live together without drama. Should be easy right?

I love a good close proximity romance, especially when you add in the extras of the single mom and ex-military. It doesn’t take long before Weston and Callie are breaking their own rules, first in little ways and eventually in ways that can’t be ignored. These two had great chemistry, and no amount of rules were going to keep things platonic for long.

Weston comes with his own crew of side characters in this one -- Theo, Maria, and their families made for some very funny moments. It is clear that they have a deep bond and the ribbing they give Weston over some of his character traits had me rolling (as evidence of just how well they know him). And don’t get me started on Sutton, Callie’s daughter. I loved the way she inserted herself into the story in very creative, tweenager type ways.

As the second of three Madigan Mountain stories, this continued the theme of repairing some of the pains of the past, forgiving, and finding family in unexpected moments. I can’t wait to see what it’ll take to bring Crew home, because he has avoided the Mountain just as much as his older brothers.

Our 4.5 star reviews

How to behave when the guy who broke your heart two thousand miles away turns up in your office:

One: Don’t drop your lucky coffee cup in shock, even though it’s been ten years.

Two: Don’t get defensive when he asks how you ended up working his family’s ski mountain… and why you kept it a secret.

Three: Give him the worst room in the resort. He deserves it for suddenly waltzing back in like he owns the place. (Which he kind of does.)

Four, five, six, seven, eight and nine: Do not kiss him in the hot tub.

Ten: Try to keep your heart intact after you break all of your rules.

Because Reed is leaving again. Hate can't turn back into love. And it’s a little too late…

From Wall Street Journal and USA Today bestselling author Devney Perry comes a small town, sports romance.

Crew Madigan is a snowboarding legend. He’s gorgeous, rich, famous and every woman’s dream. Well, except mine. I’ll take a nerdy guy with a clumsy streak who wouldn’t know what to do with a pair of skis to save his life. Superstar athletes? No, thanks. World champions? Hard pass. Crew? Definitely not.

It’s been over a decade since Crew set foot on Madigan Mountain. Instead of sitting with his family during his brother’s wedding, he takes the chair beside mine. ESPN really doesn’t do that chiseled jaw justice. The cameras miss the flecks of gold in his eyes. When he invites me to his hotel room after the wedding, I break all of my own rules for just one night.

But here’s the problem with just one night. Crew is impossible to forget. And he’s not the only one who loves a thrill. The crash, the broken bones, are inevitable. Because together, we’re a little too wild.
