This is our introduction to Time River and it was easy to become immersed in this new town and set of interesting characters. 

Paisley Dae has returned to her hometown with a broken heart and battered dreams. But when her friend sets up a job interview with his cousin, there is a glimmer of hope to be able to work with horses again. Unfortunately, she and the new man do not have such a great first meeting or even second. 

Paisley is a country angel with a bit of devil on her shoulder bringing, chaos, sass, and sunshine that clashes with Caleb Greyson's broody, guarded, intimidating, closed-off, and challenging demeanor. 

Caleb has demons and a dark past that he is sure is still coming for him. He is set on vengeance and keeping his niece safe. He has no intention of becoming distracted by a fiery, reckless horsewoman. He thrives on control and she challenges and drives him crazy. He is fueled by rage, anxiety, vengeance, and is incredibly protective. He feels he is without a soul, hope, or love to give. And Paisley is strong-willed and determined to show him the man she sees and wants to stand beside. 

From antagonistic sparring to fiery flirting to uncontrolled desire and unexpected feelings They are a storm of raging lust and uncontrolled emotions. But things are tempered by fear of threats. 

This is an intense, snarky, passionate, small-town,  enemies-to-lovers, rich boss-employee, opposites-attract, new single dad, romance with elements of mystery and romantic suspense. It is about falling in love with each other, but it is also about how these two fall head over heels for a lonely little girl that just wanted to give and receive love again. Evelyn is the center of the world and they would do anything to protect her and just might have to. It also introduces us to a whole new group of friends and family that care and are protective of each other. I am excited about the next story in the series. I am already interested in the couple.
