An accidental pregnancy, small town, sports romance from Wall Street Journal and USA Today bestselling author, Devney Perry.
Pregnant. Homeless. Broke. Not what I’d expected for my senior year in college. Neither was Rush Ramsey.
We met the day I went camping and got stranded on the side of a gravel road. I didn’t believe in white knights who freed damsels in distress. Life had taught me that if something bad could happen, it probably would. The only person who would save me was me.
But Rush Ramsey rescued me that day. He was sweet and kind and charming. He made a dark, starry night a little less lonely.
I should have realized it was too good to be true. That an incredible night of passion would come with consequences. That the bad luck rollercoaster I’d been riding for twenty-one years wasn’t ready to stop.
Because Rush Ramsey, Treasure State University’s most eligible bachelor and quarterback extraordinaire, just got me pregnant.
This is an inspiring and heartfelt story of luck(good and bad), resilience,, and dealing with life changes.
Faye Gannon is a struggling young waitress just trying to get through school and help take care of her sister although no one has ever really taken care of her. It seems like she goes from one setback to another and luck never seems to be on her side.
Rush Ramsey is the Treasure State Wildcats' golden boy and quarterback. He is handsome, popular, smart, funny, and has his whole life planned out including an NFL career.
A chance encounter made them both take a closer look at their lives and when they meet again they share another intense night. But both nights were catalysts for change and now they are dealing with the consequences.
Faye is guarded, stubborn, emotionally unavailable, and fiercely independent. She does not like to be vulnerable, trust, or show how scared she is. And Rush is a planner, protective, and pretty smitten. But He has to walk a fine line between letting Faye have her pride and trying to help her.
These two have a lot of challenges and decisions to make. They really have to work through fears, insecurities, miscommunication, and their own stubbornness. I really liked them both as individuals and together. But I was waiting somewhat impatiently for Faye to finally let her guard down a bit. But at the same time, I could understand why she was the way she was so it only made it sweeter to see how Rush wanted to make her feel safe and cared for. These two have to fight their own fears and for their futures and happiness, but I was rooting for them the whole way. Rally is the perfect title for this story.

The family and friend dynamics add complexities to the plot. His roommate Maverick was annoying through a lot of this one but he was also dealing with some things, and I cannot wait for someone to knock him down a peg or two in the next book, Merit.
A one night stand leads to an unintended pregnancy between near strangers. They may not know each other well, but there are reasons they clicked so well that night. She has walls a mile high and he has plans that will need to shift quickly, Faye and Rush find themselves balancing a pregnancy with school and life challenges while also getting to know each other.
Faye has clawed tooth and nail for everything she has. Living with her ex was never her intention, but until she can find a place of her own that she can afford, his extra room is all she’s got. Her waitressing job barely makes ends meet as it is, and the diner seems to be on the verge of failing. She is estranged from most of her family, only keeping contact with her teenage sister through homework help and visits at the diner.
Rush is well known on campus but when he finds a stranded motorist with a flat tire who is also at Treasure State and she has no idea who he is, he is intrigued. He has had a plan to finish his degree before entering the draft and has hopes for making it to the NFL after graduation. He is just as surprised by Faye’s news as she was, but his background has him looking at the situation through a different lens. Though he thought he had his plans in a row, he finds himself struggling to reconcile his new reality with where he thought his life was heading.
I really connected with these characters and loved the journey they found themselves on. From navigating the pregnancy to building a friendship, they had a lot of ground to cover and a deadline hanging over their head to plan. I loved watching their journey from strangers to friends to lovers as they waited for their baby’s arrival.
It was interesting to watch the familiar events from previous books. Since the timelines overlap with Coach and Blitz, there are moments that we get to see from another point of view. I had moments where a couple of the side characters took turns earning my ire as they made things even more difficult for Faye, in particular. I am looking forward to seeing Maverick’s story in Merit, and though he was one of those who irked me at times, I know he’s got his own pressures that led to his actions towards Faye and Rush.
Football star. Single dad. And once, a long time ago, mine.
I’ve spent the better part of a decade forgetting Ford Ellis. If he had just stayed away from Montana, I might have erased the memory of his striking blue eyes and rugged smile forever. Avoiding him was easy when the only place I saw his face was on ESPN—and a remote control could fix that problem.
Except my boss just hired Ford as the new head coach for the Treasure State Wildcats. Not only will I be stuck watching him on the sidelines this season, but avoiding him will be impossible now that we’re working together.
Maybe I haven’t forgotten Ford. Maybe I still dream about what we might have been. Maybe he hasn’t forgotten me either.
Except those maybes won’t change the fact that we were never meant to be. Maybe he was mine once. But as of today, the only thing I’ll be calling Ford Ellis is Coach.

Our 4-4.5 star reviews
A forbidden, small town, sports romance from Wall Street Journal and USA Today bestselling author Devney Perry.
A coach. A student. The rules were concrete. We broke them anyway.
The night I met Toren Greely was the night I learned how to lie. He was a Treasure State football coach. I was the star of the volleyball team. Coaches and students were forbidden. My future was on the line, so I told myself it was only one night.
That was the first lie. They got easier to tell after that. The lines blurred. The boundaries shifted. Our relationship became a game of its own.
A chaste smile. A knowing glance. A veiled touch or a hushed kiss. We hid in plain sight. We were invincible. Or so we thought. Neither of us saw the blitz coming until it was too late.
Game over. The night I left Toren Greely was the night I learned how to lose.

An enemies to lovers, sports romance from #1 Amazon, WSJ and USA Today bestselling author Devney Perry.
The world loves Maverick Houston. Me? I’ve hated him since we were ten.
It’s not exactly easy to escape your childhood nemesis when your parents are best friends who live on the same block. Through countless vacations, parties and holidays, Maverick and I have spent the past decade trading insults.
Until that family dinner when his mother tells us she’s dying. When she asks us to forget the past and start fresh. That’s how I found myself on a date with the Treasure State Wildcats football star. The campus playboy. The boy I kissed when I was three. The man who is the bane of my existence.
He’s arrogant. He’s blunt. He’s too handsome for his own good. But if he has a single, redeeming merit, the guy sure does love his mom. And that’s why I started fake dating Maverick Houston. That’s why I made him a proposition of my own. That’s how this sham of a relationship ruined my life.
The world loves Maverick Houston. Me? I hate that he made me love him too.
