As long as LonelyDaddy is on the other side of the computer screen, there’s a chance he could be the man Emerson has been dreaming of.

I’ve gotten used to being alone, to disappearing inside the fictional worlds between the pages of a book and letting my lonely life fade away.

Books have never judged me for the stutter I can’t control. Books have never abandoned me. Books have never let me down. Then again, books have never hugged me or told me they love me either, so my plan is far from perfect.

The first time I lay eyes on the tall, red haired Kiernan with a beard for days and shoulders made for scratch marks, I wanted to crawl into his lap and call him Daddy. The only problem is, I can never seem to string two words together around him… heck, I’d be happy to manage to get even one word out, like maybe “yes”, preferably over and over again.

I thought making an online dating profile would be the hardest part, but it turns out getting up the courage to meet the man I’ve been messaging is even more difficult. Could LonelyDaddy be Kiernan? And if he is, is there any chance he’ll want to keep me? Can I be his brave boy?

***Brave Boy is the online love-sweet, ginger Daddy- totally swoony- second book in the Perfect Boys series and can be read as a stand-alone.

We met Emerson in Pretty Boy. He is Sterling's book store friend who has similar interests and is reserved and quiet for his own reasons. He stutters and it gets worse if he is nervous or upset. He is smart, talented, sweet, and has issues with self-doubt and self-worth.

Kiernan is a lawyer and partner of Barrett's. He has seen how happy Barrett is to have found his boy, Sterling, and he longs to find that for himself. He's a bit intimidating even though he does not want Emerson to feel that way about him.

These guys have both been secretly crushing on the other, but have been afraid to say anything. But they are both more sure now of what they want in their lives and turn to a dating app. And that is when it gets a bit complicated. LonelyDaddy and BraveBoy have a great connection online, but could it translate to something real? As Emerson begins to gain confidence due to his online interactions, things get more serious and convoluted between online potential love and the real-life versions of themselves.

How will it all come together and what happens when the truth is all revealed?

This is a sweet Daddy boy story where one's bravery and one's acceptance bring great rewards. I loved Kiernan. He is this big, burly, in-control, rich alpha, but he is also patient, kind, giving, and understanding. And Emerson may be quiet due to his speech issues at times, but he knows what he wants and when comfortable is not afraid to ask for it. I just loved how they brought out the best and complemented each other so well.

We get more with Barrett and Sterling, and the other friends, Alden, Gannon, and Nolan. I am so excited for the next book because there is something really going on with the rest of this group.

Kim's review

K.M. Neuhold is a complete romance junkie, a total sap in every way. She started her journey as an author in new adult, straight romance, but after a chance reading of an MM book she was completely hooked on everything about lovely- and sometimes damaged- men finding their Happily Ever After together.
She has a strong passion for writing characters with a lot of heart and soul, and a bit of humor as well. And she fully admits that her OCD tendencies of making sure every side character has a full backstory will likely always lead to every book having a spin-off or series.

When she’s not writing, she’s a lion tamer, an astronaut, and a superhero…just kidding, she’s likely watching Netflix and snuggling with her husky, Lola, while her amazing husband brings her coffee.
