Talia Eden loved Foster Madden for one year, two months and eleven days. It was on day 438 that her love died. The day he chose to marry her best friend. The day she vowed never to think of Foster again.

Until years later when he has the audacity to show up in her small hometown of Quincy, begging for her help.

The ink on his divorce papers is barely dry, yet he comes armed with apologies and promises. She knows it’s all a ploy. Foster is the king of games and secrets. But he’s got delusions the size of Montana if he thinks she’ll help him train for a world championship fight.

Except Talia has forgotten exactly what made Foster famous. The man has dedicated his life to victory. He’s steadfast. He’s determined. And he won’t stop fighting until he’s won her heart.

Talia Eden moved home to Montana to be a Doctor in her small community. She is still proving herself as a resident, but she is smart and hardworking. She left heartbreak back in Vegas so is guarded and afraid to get hurt.

Seven years after breaking her heart, Middleweight Champion, Foster Madden, is leaving his life in Vegas to win Talia back. It will be the fight of his life. He knows he hurt her, but she does not know the whole story. So he is hoping for a second chance and to be able to rebuild what they lost. He is handsome, charismatic, caring, and hard to resist. He is determined to break down her walls brick by brick.

There is a whole lot of back story with these two and most of it Talia was unaware of. They were torn apart by circumstances and secrets. But when all the secrets are out, will she give him another chance or still keep him at arm's length?

My heart broke for these two and all that had happened. Their chemistry is undeniable and their bond did not seem to be totally broken. She is strong-willed and skittish, but he is determined and devoted. But fixing their relationship is not all they have to deal with in the present either. There are layers of subplots and twists.

This is a sweet, sexy, second chance, small-town love story about forgiveness, trust, letting go of the past, and fighting for the life you want. I actually really liked both of them, and loved them together.

I have enjoyed each book in this series and love this family. There are cameos from the other Edens and some new characters that added depth and drama to the story. I am looking forward to the next book, Jasper Vale which was set up in this one.
Talia Eden has returned home to practice medicine in her hometown, but it hasn’t been quite as seamless as she expected. She’s the only doctor called by her first name, and struggles to gain the confidence of her patients because of her age (and their memories of her as a child). She keeps to herself, buried in her work, and has kept secret the one man she loved in Vegas.

Foster Madden is looking for a new start away from the madness that was his life in Vegas. He wants the small town life Talia talked about when they were together, and he wants it with her by his side. He knows he is going to have to fight to win her back, but never would have imagined all the ways they would have to fight to get to the life they once imagined.

Talia loved him but her heart was crushed when they broke up, in a series of events that she didn’t see coming, nor did she understand. Now, he is going to have to break through the sturdy walls she has around her heart and convince her to hear him out about all the secrets he has been keeping.

These were near perfection. From the moment Foster showed up in Quincey looking for her, I was rooting for him to win. It was clear early on that the heartbreak they had shared years before was one of those things he would have changed if he could have found any other way out. I loved his protective nature -- and he wasn’t just protective of Talia, but everyone he loved.

There were several twists that had me feeling everything alongside the main characters. Foster has been hiding many secrets (some only because Talia refused to look him up on social media) that kept things twisting and turning as he tried to win Talia back. I loved the way he settled into Quincey and began building his own place in the town as soon as he could.

I think this is one of my favorites in this series (it is so hard to choose just 1). It has every aspect of small town romances that I absolutely love, and add in the second chance, redemption aspect and this was near perfection. Jasper Vale is teased at the end and as usual I cannot wait to get my hands on another book set in Quincey with the Edens!

From USA Today Bestselling Author Devney Perry comes a small town, enemies-to-lovers contemporary romance.

Winslow Covington believes in life, liberty and the letter of the law. As Quincy, Montana’s new chief of police, she’s determined to prove herself to the community and show them she didn’t earn her position because her grandfather is the mayor.

According to her pops, all she has to do is earn favor with the Edens. But winning over the town’s founding family might have been easier if not for her one-night stand with their oldest son. In her defense, it was her first night in town and she didn’t realize that the rugged and charming man who wooed her into bed was Quincy royalty.

Sleeping with Griffin Eden was a huge mistake, one she’s trying to forget. He’s insufferable, arrogant and keeps reminding everyone that she’s an outsider. Winslow does her best to avoid Griffin, but when a woman is found dead on Eden property, the two of them have no choice but to cross paths.

As clues to the murderer lead to one of Quincy’s own, Griffin realizes Winslow is more than he gave her credit for. Beautiful and intelligent, she proves hard to resist. For him. And the killer.

Our 5 star reviews

Memphis Ward arrives in Quincy, Montana, on the fifth worst day of her life. She needs a shower. She needs a snack. She needs some sanity. Because moving across the country with her newborn baby is by far the craziest thing she’s ever done.

But maybe it takes a little crazy to build a good life. If putting the past behind her requires a thousand miles and a new town, she’ll do it if it means a better future for her son. Even if it requires setting aside the glamour of her former life. Even if it requires working as a housekeeper at The Eloise Inn and living in an apartment above a garage.

It’s there, on the fifth worst day of her life, that she meets the handsomest man she’s ever laid eyes on. Knox Eden is a beautiful, sinful dream, a chef and her temporary landlord. With his sharp, stubbled jaw and tattooed arms, he’s raw and rugged and everything she’s never had—and never will. Because after the first worst day of her life, Memphis learned a good life requires giving up on her dreams too. And a man like Knox Eden will only ever be a dream.
