Rowe Prince is a lying liar who windmills into my life in full color, claiming to be Sterling Chase, a quirky, eccentric billionaire… and founder of the company I created.

Two can play at the lying game, though, and I’m not about to let some burrito-delivering, floppy-haired virgin from Indiana best me at a game I was born to play.

So I do him one better and pretend to be Sterling Chase’s new assistant. I’ll teach him a lesson that will hopefully wind us both up in bed… with nothing but the truth between us.

But it turns out his shameless lies are enchanting… unintentionally hilarious… and make it all too easy to forget the truth…

Until I learn that this cutie’s intent is to defraud the company I’ve spent years building. I have to choose: risk the company or say goodbye to the man I’m falling for. A guy who just might be…

The Prince of Lies

Sneak Peek HERE

Rowe Prince is a small-town boy visiting New York just trying to make his dreams come true. He just needs the right person to listen to him and believe in him and his project. Unfortunately, in his quest to find a business mentor, he travels down the path of being an increasingly bad liar with quite a dramatic flair in a posh public place.

Fortunately, for him, he runs into Bash during his quest. Now Bash is aware that Rowe is just blatantly lying and pretending to be a quirky billionaire. But there’s something about Rowe's charm,  persona, and earnestness that just tempts Bash to keep it all going and add his own lies to the mix. And there’s also the fact that Bash is incredibly attracted to him and the feeling is mutual.

A series of misadventures and shenanigans lead to a hot weekend hook-up. But neither expected that things would get more complicated, not just by unexpected feelings or the fact that their backgrounds are so different, but also because there’s more going on that comes to light.

It took me a bit to warm up to the story. I think because of all the lying. But it’s fun and ridiculous and entertaining.  But then I found myself getting hooked on the story and falling for the characters especially as they began to actually be more honest and vulnerable. Their chemistry is crazy and the whole situation is just completely unique. But at the heart of it is a good guy who just wants to do something and make a difference, and he just didn’t know how to get to where he needed to be.

And Sebastian Dayne is a successful, intelligent, charismatic, snarky man who has everything but was not really fulfilled no matter what he tried to distract himself with. Then Rowe Prince proves to be the best distraction and most interesting storyteller he has ever encountered. He is sunshine and quirky chaos. I love seeing Bash's fascination and how he knows it’s such a bad idea, but he just can’t stop himself from wanting to be around Rowe's effervescent presence. His world is literally shaken up by this guy. But Bash is also so generous, kind, protective, and possessive.

And Rowe is awkward, endearing, and has this almost innocent wonder about him and how he thinks about the world but he’s also smart, determined,  loyal, and passionate. Bash's, friends and coworkers are quite an interesting bunch and I imagine we will be seeing more of these men in future stories.  And oh my goodness, Rowe's cousin, Joey, is just Mr. Showboat and stole his scenes. Yes, it was ridiculous and fun and I just found myself smiling and laughing at all the crazy shenanigans. But I was also touched by the emotions of the story as well.

This is a
sexy, sweet, funny, over-the-top, small age gap, poor guy-rich guy, fake identity, opposites attract, shenanigan-filled romance. It's about living life each day and the importance of having people that have your back and support you.

After enjoying creative writing as a child, Lucy didn’t write her first novel until she was over 40 years old. Her debut novel, Borrowing Blue, was published in the autumn of 2016. Lucy has an English Literature degree from Vanderbilt University, but that doesn’t hold a candle to the years and years of staying up all night reading tantalizing novels on her own. She has three children, plays tennis, and hates folding laundry. While her husband is no shmoopy romance hero, he is very good at math, cooks a mean lasagne, has gorgeous eyes, looks hot in his business clothes, and makes her laugh every single day.

Lucy hopes you enjoy sexy heroes as much as she does. Happy reading!
