Carson/Crew is a rich alpha with a heart of gold. He loves fiercely and is overprotective and generous. And Brynlee has a big heart and does not care about money or possessions, just making sure that those she loves are cared for. 

I loved these two so much and it was obvious how much they still loved each other even when they tried to avoid it or guard themselves against getting hurt. Their connection was one of those that was so intense that time, distance, and heartbreak did not stop them from having strong feelings.

This is a heartfelt, emotional, first love, second chance, small town, marriage-of-convenience, single dad, billionaire romance. It's about having to let go but also knowing when to hold on. A lot is going on under the surface of this story and it kept me invested throughout. I loved spending time with her brothers and their loves, and the kids, and am sad that this is the last of the Whitlock series, but was happy to see what was coming next from this author.
